Energy Sources

Many other renewable energy sources are in the research and development stage. Much more needs to be done to increase their reliability, drive costs down, and create commercial markets. Among the most promising experimental programs for Hawaii are Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC), wave energy, and hydrogen for fuel.
